Tower Gate Capital was founded on venture capital and we continue to make principal investments in special situations as well as in companies that we have started with strong management teams.

We also pride ourselves on providing our clients with access to high quality investment opportunities. These include investments in high growth businesses as well as opportunities to participate in larger buy-outs of well-established companies. This means opportunities for all kinds of investors, from high-net worth individuals looking beyond high-risk, start-up investments to dynamic management teams looking to pursue private equity or company creation opportunities.

We also provide a wide range of investment opportunities to private and institutional investors, including access to our range of Specialist Products. This means we can offer a dynamic alternative to institutional private equity investment. We give our investors more control, getting them closer to their investments and nearer the results they are looking for.

Principal investment

We support dynamic management teams with businesses that can be quickly brought to market. We invest our own money in high-growth companies or specific buy-out deals, and have direct and indirect holdings in a portfolio of twelve UK- and US-based companies, principally in the technology, media and telecommunications sectors.

We also make high-risk, opportunistic investments where there is a potential for high returns. In such situations we typically work closely with management to develop the opportunity. We have taken companies with assets and applied them to different markets and, in some cases, we have also joined the board, restructuring the business, raising new money and providing specialist sector advice

Access to high-quality opportunities

In addition, we often source third-party funding for larger transactions, or package a deal or an investment opportunity as a Specialist Product for distribution to a select range of investors. These strategies enable us to provide them with access to varied and high-quality investment opportunities.

We also create new companies designed to exploit distinct market opportunities. We always build the business around the right management team, working with entrepreneurial clients or from an opportunity we have identified ourselves.
